We, of Sedona Spa, are individuals who are passionate about our beliefs surrounding animal welfare issues and reflect these beliefs in creating outstanding products that are cruelty-free.

One of our lead partners with respect to this end is Born Free USA united with Animal Protection Institute.

Over the course of 40 years, the Animal Protection Institute has worked actively to stop unnecessary suffering by taking on issues that have the most impact on the greatest number of animals. Successes on behalf of animals have been in the courts, the legislature, the ballot box, and in public opinion. Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers created Born Free in 1984, along with their son Will, after Virginia and Bill starred in the movie Born Free, the true story of Elsa, the lioness, and her return to the wild. Today, the Born Free Foundation is a highly respected, dynamic presence that stands for justice and compassion for wild animals in need all over the world.

Having joined forces in December 2007, Born Free USA united with Animal Protection Institute, is the combination of two dynamic animal welfare organizations working to end the unnecessary suffering of wild animals in captivity, rescue individual animals, protect wildlife - including highly endangered species - in their natural habitats, and encourage compassionate conservation globally. Each individual animal matters, and Born Free USA makes a difference using tools such as legislation, litigation, public education and advocacy. In addition the organization operates a Primate Sanctuary in Texas that is home to more than 400 nonhuman primates, many of whom were rescued from abusive situations in laboratories, roadside zoos and private possession and are now living in a free-range environment with minimum human interference.

United behind their powerful logo featuring Elsa the lioness, Born Free USA stands ready to become a dynamic force for animals in need. Elsa's iconic image reminds us that every animal has a story to tell and every individual counts. The Born Free USA message is universal - - Fighting injustice, preventing suffering, rescuing, conserving, educating and protecting.

Throughout the year, Sedona Spa will feature Shop For A Cause Weekends, supporting our partners in the global community whose missions and passions mirror ours.

We have earmarked Friday, October 16, Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, as our Shop For A Cause Weekend, celebrating the continuing efforts of Born Free USA. During this time period, beginning at 12:01 a.m. on October 16 and continuing through midnight of October 18, Sedona Spa will donate 50% of all proceeds from the sales of our products (minus taxes and shipping) back to Born Free USA, assisting this organization in their ongoing role to help change the world while making our planet a better place to live.
