Sedona Spa Launches Corporate Gift Giving Program

This spring Sedona Spa is launching a new program for companies across the country—corporate gift giving!

We are creating unique gift boxes and baskets, reflecting corporations’ individual trademarks. Organizations are encouraged to explore this new venue of corporate gifts for their employees and clients. Each piece may be personalized with select company additions that will be incorporated into our baskets for a statement that is memorable and treasured. Typical occasions may be for promotions, a thank you, incentive programs, retirement, company retreats, holidays, birthdays, or wedding gifts.

Sedona Spa is excited about our new program. We believe these specialty gifts will be an attractive and exceptional way to reward and recognize clients and employees alike.

Botanical of the Month - The Yucca
    yucca

The yuccas comprise the genus Yucca of 40-50 species of perennials, shrubs and trees in the agave family, Agavaceae. This family is noted for their rosettes of evergreen, sword-shaped leaves and large terminal clusters of white flowers. Yuccas are native to the hot and dry parts of North America, Central America and the West Indies.

Yuccas have a very specialized pollination system that involves the yucca moth. This insect purposefully transfers the pollen from the stamens of one plant to the stigma of another, while simultaneously laying an egg in the flower. The moth larvae subsist on some of the developing seeds and the cycle continues.

Yuccas are widely grown as ornamental plants in garden settings. Many species bear edible fruit, seeds, flowers and flowering stems. Yuccas also provide browse for a number of wildlife species during spring, summer and fall.

Native Americans of the Southwest traditionally utilized yucca species for a variety of purposes. Fruits were eaten raw or dried for later use. The leaves of the plants that contain high levels of saponin, a detergent like substance, were pulped to produce a soap product. Fibers collected from the leaves were fashioned into rope, twine, hats, hairbrushes, shoes, mattresses and saddle blankets.

Sedona Spa products utilize two species of yucca. Yucca aloifolia, also known as Aloe yucca, may be found in our Mountain Moisture Shampoo and Maximum Body Shampoo. The species Yucca schidigera, or Mojave yucca, may be found in our Advanced Daily Cleanser and Refreshing Facial Toner.
