| ANNOUNCING SEDONA SPA’S NEXT GENERATION |
 |
|
We are delighted to introduce our “Next Generation”
Hydrating Facial Moisturizer with patent pending technology.
Our trace metal nucleotide technology provides a comprehensive
approach to overall skin health. This new formula may help to
decrease the appearance of wrinkles, provide skin brightening
with Niacinamide, increase skin pliability and promote deep
moisturization of the skin.
Over time certain enzyme systems begin to slow down and
those enzymes related to aging begin to lose some of their
effectiveness. Certain natural pro- enzyme ingredients may
help to activate and accelerate the body’s own anti-aging
enzymes. These may be applied topically, but need to be
reduced in molecular size so absorption is able to occur.
Trace metals, specifically copper, zinc and manganese, as
nucleotides, become transporters of such ingredients. Through
this type of technology, we may be able to assist our own
body’s anti-aging defenses as we age.
As we move forward, Sedona Spa is committed to creating
stellar products for our clients and delivering superior
results with these next generation products.
Sedona Spa’s Hydrating Facial Moisturizer for daytime use
is an excellent product featuring an aloe base infused with
Shea Butter, Licorice Root Extract, Saguaro Flower Extract and
Panax Ginseng Root Extract to provide maximum moisturizing and
soothing benefits. These ingredients dovetail well with our
trace metal nucleotide technology making our Hydrating Facial
Moisturizer with a paraben-free preservative system an
outstanding product.
Hydrating Facial Moisturizer contains a prominent amount of
Stearic Acid, a skin smoothing agent and excellent
moisturizer. When applying this product, allow additional
time, approximately half a minute or so for complete
absorption of this wonderful product.
Clients often ask us to formulate facial products
containing sunscreen. The FDA requires extensive testing and
very specific procedures with respect to the manufacture of
products containing sunscreen. These government regulations
make the production of such products very costly and many
cosmetic manufacturing companies have elected not to produce
products containing sunscreen ingredients, including our
manufacturer. We promote the protection of our skin from the
harmful rays of sun exposure. Many of our clients utilize a
commercial sunscreen or makeup foundation containing sunscreen
applied over our Sedona Spa products.
Thank you for taking the time to read our newsletter. We
appreciate your continued patronage and look forward to a
magical 2007!

Botanical of the Quarter - ALOE VERA (Aloe
barbadensis) |
|
|
|
We often think of the Aloe as a “Miracle Plant” or the
“Natural Healer”. A member of the Lily family, aloe is able to
tolerate warm and dry climates, retaining moisture by closing
its pores to prevent desiccation. There are over 200 varieties
of aloe, with Aloe barbadensis being the most well known due
to multiple medicinal uses, including the topical treatment of
wounds, minor burns and skin irritations. Additionally,
consumers are familiar with aloe vera’s use in skin care
products as a soothing agent.
Aloe Vera’s healing and therapeutic properties have been
known for centuries. Egyptian papyrus dated 1500 B.C.
indicates Roman and Greek physicians utilized the plant as an
effective medicinal herb.
Native to northern Africa, Aloe is generally a stemless
succulent plant, growing up to 3 feet tall and spreads by
offsets and root sprouts. Leaves are thick and fleshy, green
to grey-green in color with a serrated edge. Flowers are
produced on a spike and may be red or yellow in color.
Relatively easy to care for in frost-free climates, the
species requires well-drained sandy potting soil and moderate
light. Plants should be allowed to dry completely in between
waterings. During winter months, aloes may become dormant,
requiring little moisture.
As consumers continue to look to more natural remedies in
their lifestyle and for products boasting botanical elements,
the Aloe vera plant makes its mark as a well-versed specimen.
Several of our Sedona Spa products contain Aloe barbadensis
including Advanced Daily Cleanser, Refreshing Facial Toner,
Hydrating Facial Moisturizer, Maximum Body Shampoo, Botanical
Sculpting Spray and Spa Shower Gel.
